The Mountain Fork Half Marathon is a scenic 13.6-mile race starting and ending at the High Knob Observation Tower in Wise County. The course winds through the Mountain Fork watershed on Forest Service roads, offering stunning views from the tower, which is situated at 4,200 feet and provides panoramic vistas of multiple states and mountain ranges. The race benefits trail development and maintenance in the Flag Rock Area Trails system.
