Mountain Heritage Day 5K

Mountain Heritage Day 5K Walk/Run is held on the Western Carolina University campus in Cullowhee, North Carolina. This family-friendly, chip-timed race welcomes runners and walkers of all levels and covers a 5K course of pavement and gravel paths, taking participants past campus landmarks like the Catafount fountain and Alumni Tower before finishing at the Stillwell Science Building. Proceeds support the Sport Management Association Scholarship Fund.

After the race, entrants can enjoy the Mountain Heritage Day festival’s 50th anniversary celebration, featuring live music, demonstrations, and vendors (festival admission is free).
