Mountwood Challenge Trail Race

The Mountwood Challenge Trail Race takes place in Mountwood Park near Waverly, West Virginia, about 15 miles east of Parkersburg on U.S. Route 50. This event features a 10-mile trail race and 5K trail races, including a run and a walk.

The 10-mile race has a 4-hour time limit, with participants exceeding 2 hours at the halfway point redirected to the finish. Runners must be at least 15 years old for the 10-mile race. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in all races, plus age group awards across various categories.
