Mt. Baldhead Challenge
The Mt. Baldhead Challenge, held in Saugatuck, Michigan, is a premier multi-terrain running event celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2025. Participants can choose between a 10K+ (approximately 7 miles) or a half marathon (13.1 miles), both featuring a mix of woodland trails, forested dunes, scenic waterfront views, and paved streets.
A signature challenge includes climbing 302 steps up Mt. Baldhead, the tallest dune in town. The courses offer significant elevation gains—750 feet for the 10K+ and 1,050 feet for the half marathon—making it a unique and demanding race.
The event supports local youth programs through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Holland and includes post-race celebrations at Coghlin Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
