Mt. Taylor 50K
Mt. Taylor 50k is a not-for-profit trail ultramarathon near Grants, New Mexico, about 90 minutes west of Albuquerque. The 50K course traverses Mt.
Taylor’s high country, starting before dawn to greet sunrise from the La Mosca Lookout, with views of volcanic plugs, the Continental Divide Trail, open meadows, and a 360-degree summit panorama. The race emphasizes a runner-driven ethos, with well-marked trails, well-stocked aid stations, and a post-race cookout, plus a finisher medal for all 50K finishers. Perks include a technical T-shirt for registrants by Sept 1, bracelet for female finishers, and guaranteed shirt size if registered by Aug 8.
Five-time finishers must volunteer or do trail work before racing again. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
