Mud Mountain Dam Marathon
The Mud Mountain Dam Marathon, organized by the Tacoma City Marathon Association, is a scenic fall running event held in Washington state. It features marathon, half marathon, and 5K distances. The marathon starts at Mud Mountain Dam Park, descending 1,191 feet through forested areas, neighborhoods, and along the Carbon River, finishing at the historic McMillin Foothills Bridge.
The half marathon begins in South Prairie and follows a paved, gradual downhill route with a 339-foot elevation loss, also finishing at McMillin Bridge. The 5K is an out-and-back course starting and ending at the McMillin Bridge.
