Mud Mountain Dam Marathon
The Mud Mountain Dam Marathon, organized by the Tacoma City Marathon Association, is a scenic fall running event held in Washington state. It features a marathon, half marathon, and 5K race. The marathon starts at Mud Mountain Dam (elevation 1,400 feet) and follows a paved, downhill course through farmlands and forests along the Carbon River, finishing at the historic McMillin Bridge with a net elevation loss of about 1,200 feet.
The half marathon begins in South Prairie and runs a gradual downhill route on the Foothills Rail Trail, also finishing at McMillin Bridge. The 5K is an out-and-back paved trail race starting and ending at the McMillin Foothills Trail Bridge.
