Mud Mountain Dam Marathon

Mud Mountain Dam Fall in Buckley, Washington, features a Half Marathon and a 5K along the Foothills Trail. The Half Marathon starts in South Prairie and descends along the Foothills Rail Trail, winding through farmland and forest and finishing at the McMillin Bridge, with a net elevation loss of about 339 feet on a paved surface. The 5K is an out-and-back on the Foothills Trail, starting and finishing at the McMillin Foothills Trail Bridge.

A portion of proceeds benefits the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County. Note: the Dam Marathon distance is not offered in 2025 due to bridge construction. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
