About the race
Naked Bavarian is a budget-friendly ultra-trail race held at Blue Marsh Lake in Leesport, Pennsylvania. It offers two distances: 20 miles and 40 miles, with a no/low swag ethos that skips expensive shirts, medals, and entertainment in favor of a solid course, dependable aid, and medical support. The course runs on the lake’s north-side trails, mostly runnable single-track (about 80%) with some gravel roads, forming a lop-shaped route: 6.5 miles out, a 7-mile loop, then 6.5 miles back; the 40-mile option repeats the loop.
Elevation is roughly 2,000 ft for 20M and 4,000 ft for 40M. Post-race includes a small German-style finisher memento and food. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
