Event overview
The National Capital event takes place on 11/16/2025 at Hains Point, Washington, DC. The event includes two race distances:
- 10 Miler
- 5 Miler
The original 20 Miler was changed to a 10 Miler after a shutdown. The course is certified. All finishers will receive a 2025 commemorative hoodie; colors offered are Columbia Blue or Rock, subject to availability. The hoodie is not dated but references the 20 Miler.
Course, awards and logistics
The course follows Ohio Drive SW around Hains Point on East Potomac Park. The starting line is on Ohio Drive SW near the entrance to the golf range at the eastern gate to East Potomac Park, facing the Washington Channel. Posted parking options include tennis court parking on Buckeye Drive, street parking on Ohio Drive, and Parking Lot B NPS on the Potomac side of the peninsula; parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Directions note access from I-395 (Exit 2) and Ohio Drive.
Prize listings on the event page include gift card awards from PR Running. The Janet Braunstein 5 Miler overall awards are $15, $10, and $5 for the top three.
