Event overview
The National Wine Day event on May 23, 2026 takes place at Three Fox Vineyard in Delaplane, VA. The event offers the following distances:
- 5k
- 1-mile
- Kids 1-mile
Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k & Back of the Pack Series and the Sippin’ Series. A virtual race option is available. The event partners with the EOD Warrior Foundation. Registration fees listed include early rates through April 30 and a race-morning price increase; t-shirts are guaranteed for registrants before May 13. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered; participants are asked to arrive about one hour before their event for check-in.
Course, services and results
The 5k is three laps of a loop at the winery; the 1-mile is one lap. The course mixes gravel road, grass, cross-country sections and dirt road, with hills on the backside of the vineyard. Two water stations are located by the start/finish and are accessible each loop; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are at the winery. Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, chip timing and a glass of wine. Awards are given for the 5k and the Kids 1-mile, including top three overall men and women and age-group places; top three overall are not eligible for age-group awards. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and final series points are posted after the event. The organizer operates in all weather but may delay or cancel if conditions require.
