NCR Marathon
The NCR Marathon, hosted by the Baltimore Road Runners Club, is Baltimore’s oldest continuously running USATF-certified marathon, held annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The race takes place on the scenic Northern Central Railroad Trail (Torrey C. Brown Trail) in Maryland, featuring a mostly flat, crushed gravel and dirt out-and-back course alongside the Big Gunpowder Falls.
Starting and finishing at Oldfields School in Sparks Glencoe, the marathon offers a net downhill route ideal for fast times and Boston Marathon qualification. The event also includes a half marathon and relay options, with water and energy stations along the course. Finishers receive a unique sweatshirt blanket and medal, celebrating the race’s rich history and runner-focused atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
