Near Death Race

The Near Death Race is a challenging 5.9-mile running event held in Provo, Utah, starting at Slate Canyon Park and following the Bonneville Shoreline Trail to Rock Canyon Park. Participants carry a sandbag on the outward leg, which must be delivered intact to a representative before running back to the finish near Slate Canyon Park. The race prohibits music players and the use of bags to carry the sandbag, with penalties for damaged sandbags.
