Nèg Mawon 5k run/walk in Hyde Park, Massachusetts is a 5-kilometer fundraising event held at Francis D. Martin Memorial Shell Park (1015 Truman Parkway). It honors the Haitian community and the Neg Mawon statue, a symbol of freedom for Black people and Haiti’s ongoing effort to build a thriving nation.
The event is friendly and inclusive, welcoming runners, walkers, and joggers of all paces. Proceeds support VOCHEI and HASC in Haiti, funding education sponsorships for children and ongoing healthcare at hospitals in Cabaret, Cité Soleil, and Carrefour.
