Event overview
The Newport Resolution Run takes place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at South Beach State Park in Newport, Oregon (5580 SW Coast Hwy, Newport, OR 97366). The event includes the following distances:

- Half Marathon
The half marathon course combines flat pavement and single-track trails. The race starts and finishes on flat terrain, with about 10 km of trails in the middle of the half marathon route. The half marathon has a 2:45 cutoff time for full course support.
Logistics and registration
The race concludes at the Pacific Ocean shoreline. An optional Polar Bear Plunge into the ocean is offered after the finish; participation in the plunge is optional. Current listed entry fees are $45 for the 5K, $50 for the 10K, and $60 for the half marathon; prices increase after October 31, 2025. The organizer’s refund and transfer policy states: no refunds; cancellations made 30 or more days before the race receive a 50% credit toward future Ardor Adventures events; no credit for cancellations within 30 days.
