Newport Rhode Races : Newport, RI (April 18, 2026)
The Newport Rhode Races take place in Newport, Rhode Island, with the start and finish at Easton’s Beach. The event includes multiple in-person and virtual distances and is presented in partnership with the Newport Daffodil Days Festival. The courses pass through Newport and Middletown, including seaside sections, historic mansions, rocky shorelines, and neighborhood streets.

Course, logistics and amenities
The full marathon is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon qualifier. The marathon route is 26.2 miles, with a reported total ascent of 747.42 ft and a maximum elevation of 15.75 ft. The half marathon follows the first 13.1 miles of the full course. Aid stations are placed at roughly 2-mile intervals and provide water, Nuun hydration, and at some stations Gu energy gels and bananas; port-a-potties are available at every aid station.
Packet pickup is offered at local locations (Rhode Runner in Providence and Newport County YMCA in Middletown) and on race day at Easton’s Beach. Parking is organized by distance: full marathon participants use Second Beach (Middletown) and half/5K participants use Aquidneck Industrial Park (Middletown), with shuttle service between lots and the start area. Additional amenities include free race photos, tech shirts, medals for half and full finishers, live athlete tracking via RaceJoy, a post-race festival with recovery services and on-site post-race showers at the Newport County YMCA.
