Newstead 5K

Newstead 5K takes place in South Orange, New Jersey, centered at the South Mountain Annex (112 Glenview Rd). The main event is a 5K race along the iconic Newstead course through the residential Newstead neighborhood, starting at the Annex. The event is family-friendly, with strollers allowed and no pets.

In addition to the 5K in-person run, options include an in-person walk and several virtual versions such as the Virtual Newstead 3 for 5K Route and other loops. After the 5K, a Toddler Dash and a 1/2 mile Kids Fun Run keep younger participants active. Each registrant receives a shirt and collapsible cup.
