Newtown 5K

The Newtown 5K is an annual running and walking event held in Newtown, Ohio, organized by Turpin Cross Country. The 43rd edition takes place at Moundview Park, featuring a relatively flat 3.1-mile course through residential streets with mile splits, first aid, and water stations. The event offers separate divisions for runners and walkers across various age groups, with walkers starting separately and required to walk the entire distance.

There are also corporate and school team competitions. Awards are given for overall and age group winners, including special recognitions for Newtown residents. A free kids fun run follows the 5K.
