Newtown Turkey Trot
The Newtown Turkey Trot is an annual community event held in Newtown, Connecticut, benefiting the C.H. Booth Library. Celebrating its 15th edition in 2025, the event offers a 5K run/walk and a 2.5K fitness walk, both starting and finishing at Newtown Middle School.
The 5K course is USTF certified, providing a reliable and official route. Attracting over 1,500 participants in recent years, the Turkey Trot is a popular Thanksgiving Day tradition that promotes fitness and community spirit. Participants receive race packets and optional t-shirts, with awards for top finishers across various age groups.
