Newtown Turkey Trot

Newtown Turkey Trot is a community Thanksgiving Day running and walking event in Newtown, Connecticut, benefiting the C. H. Booth Library.

The 16th annual event offers a 5K run/walk and a 2.5K (1.6 mile) fitness walk, drawing more than 1,600 participants. Both routes start and finish at Newtown Middle School, with the 5K following a USATF-certified course (CT19019JHP) and the walk using a shorter segment of the same route. Participants can pick up bibs at the library ahead of race day, and donations to Faith Food Pantry are encouraged; awards follow near the finish.
