Night Howler 50

The Night Howler 50 is a unique overnight 50-mile ultramarathon held at Hoover Sports Park East in Hoover, Alabama. Organized by The Running Birds, the race starts at sunset and challenges runners to complete twenty laps of a 2.5-mile loop course within 16 hours. The course features flat terrain with minor inclines, crossing a bridge over the Cahaba River and descending stairs into wooded trails, making it suitable for both first-time 50-milers and experienced ultrarunners.

Participants can set up personal aid stations and have pacers on course. Finishers within the time limit earn a custom belt buckle, with top finishers receiving medals.
