About the race
NK50k is a 50-kilometer point-to-point trail run organized by Greenbush Trail Runners in Greenbush, Wisconsin, along the Northern Kettle Moraine Ice Age Trail. The route runs from the Ridge Road Trailhead to the Greenbush Group Camp finish, with a bus shuttle transporting runners from finish to start. Aid and drop bags are available at Mile 3.5 and Mile 25, with water and typical ultra foods provided at backcountry shelters along the way.
The course traverses smooth ski trails, rocky and rooty Ice Age terrain, and climbs to the highest point in the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. This is a fun run, not a race, with a finisher sticker and post-race refreshments; a 25K option is also offered. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
