Not-A-Sprint Weekend
Not-A-Sprint Weekend is an endurance running event held annually in Forest City, North Carolina, featuring 3-hour, 6-hour, and 12-hour individual races, as well as 6-hour and 12-hour three-person relays. The course is an 8.35-mile paved loop along the Thermal Belt Rail Trail, with minimal elevation gain and partial shade, making it runner-friendly. Aid stations stocked with water, electrolytes, and snacks are located at Forest City and Spindale.
The event supports Cancer Active, a nonprofit encouraging cancer patients to stay active during treatment. Awards recognize top finishers, and runners completing 50 miles in 12 hours receive a special belt buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
