Event

The NYCRUNS Falling Leaves Half Marathon takes place in Prospect Park, Brooklyn on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The course is USATF certified and finishes in the Nethermead on Center Drive. The event includes a festival area in the Nethermead with race-day services and a finish-line area on Center Drive.

Course and festival

The half marathon consists of just under four full loops of Prospect Park, with runners passing Center Drive three times before a final left turn and a sprint up Center Drive to the finish. The Festival Area is accessible via Center Drive or the walking paths off Well House Drive. On-site amenities include bag check (single clear bag required), portable bathrooms, water and electrolyte fluids on course, electrolyte drinks and cans of smartwater at the finish, post-race bagels and fresh fruit, race-day tech shirt distribution, and a finisher's medal. One complimentary race photo is provided; additional photo packages are available for purchase. The Samsung Rest Club will be present in the Festival Area to share information about sleep tracking and Energy Score.

Logistics and policies

Start corrals are pace-based (letters AA-F) and located on Well House Drive; corral assignments appear on the bib and are based on the pace entered in the NYCRUNS dashboard. Bibs are available for pick up in the Festival Area on race day or may be mailed to NYCRUNS members (or for a fee if requested and registered at least 20 days before the event to a U.S. address); shirts are not mailed with bibs. Results will be emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary overall (gun time) and to the top three in each age group by net/chip time: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over. The event follows a no-refunds, no-transfers policy; NYCRUNS members may withdraw for race credit. Strollers and dogs are not permitted, earbuds may lead to disqualification if they hinder awareness, and time limits apply for course support and official finish times. Pricing for entries is listed for members and non-members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
