The NYCRUNS Prospect Park 5K takes place on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY. The event distance is 5K. The race benefits CAMBA, a community organization that serves over 80,000 people a year with services such as food distribution, homelessness prevention, affordable and supportive housing, adult literacy, job readiness and college access programs. Course, logistics and policies
The course covers just under one full loop of Prospect Park with a final sprint up Center Drive and is USATF-certified. The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and can be accessed via Center Drive or walking paths off Well House Drive; the race finishes on Center Drive adjacent to the Festival Area. Bibs are available for pick up on race morning with a unique QR code required; NYCRUNS members may receive mailed bibs at no cost and non-members can add mailing for a fee if registered at least 20 days before the event and to U.S. addresses only. Amenities include bag check with a single clear bag (18" x 24"), portable bathrooms, on-course water and electrolyte fluids, canned smartwater at the finish, post-race hydration and refreshments, a tech shirt and a finisher medal. Results are emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three overall male, female and non-binary finishers by gun time and to top three in each listed age group by net time.
