2025 NYPD Memorial 5K Run/Walk
The 23rd Annual NYPD Memorial 5K Run/Walk takes place on May 18, 2025 in Manhattan, New York City. The event is presented by the NYPD Running Club and proceeds benefit the Metro New York Chapter of Concerns Of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). A pre-race memorial service will be held at the NYC Police Memorial Wall near the Battery Park City Esplanade and Liberty Street. Online registration for the event is listed as closed. Registered participants receive an event T-shirt, a personalized bib, and a 2025 memorial towel.
Course, packet pickup and awards
The race begins on Liberty Street and West Street and finishes on West Street within a block of the start. Pre- and post-race amenities and day-of packet pickup are located on Liberty Street between South End Avenue and West Street. In-person pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, May 16 at Midtown South Police Precinct, 357 W 35th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues). Virtual participants may upload times and photos between May 18 and May 25; virtual bibs are shipped within a window from one week before to one week after the event.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall, top three men and women in law enforcement, masters (40 and over) and law enforcement masters, plus top three in standard age-group divisions from 14 & under through 70+. There is no duplication of awards; law enforcement awards take precedence for registered officers except for overall winners. A USATF certified course map is available.
