Event details
The Races for the Oasis 5K & Fun Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore (Druid Hill Park), 1 Safari Place, Baltimore, MD 21202. The event includes the following races and options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1M Fun Run/Walk
- Kids 6-13 5K
- Kids 6-13 1M
- Kids 5 & Under
- Virtual 5K
The 5K will be professionally timed with RFID chip timing and runs two laps through the zoo exhibits. The 1M is a single lap and will not use chip timing. Virtual participants may complete a 5K remotely.
Logistics and fees
General adult registration pricing is tiered: $40 (early), $50 (mid), $60 (late). Kids (ages 6-13) have reduced fees at $10/$15/$20 across the same tiers. Teams of four or more receive a $5 discount on adult registrations; the discount is applied once the fourth team member registers. Children 5 and under are free but should be registered so organizers can plan.
The first 250 participants may receive a complimentary zoo entrance bracelet valid on race day; additional discounted zoo tickets will be available after those are reserved. Complimentary parking is available at the zoo entrance. Race packets are available at the Schafer Pavilion near the zoo entrance. T-shirts are included for 5K and 1M participants aged 14 and over; shirts for children are available for purchase. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
