Event overview
The 2026 Zydeco Marathon is a two-day running event in downtown Lafayette, Louisiana, on March 7-8, 2026. The weekend features a finish line festival with live music, food, and drinks at Parc International, 200 Garfield Street, Lafayette. The event is hosted by Funraisers for St Jude Inc., and all proceeds will go to St Jude Children's Research Hospital. The marathon and half marathon are USATF sanctioned and USATF certified; the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying event.

General race information includes chip timing (Pelican Timing) for the full, half, relay, and 5K. The 1 Mile Fun Run is reserved for children 12 and under and is not timed. Age minimums: full marathon 16 years, half marathon 13 years, relay 13 years, 5K and Ainsley’s Angels divisions list varied age ranges. Courses are marked, staffed with volunteers and traffic control, and hydration stations are spaced about every 1.5 miles. Medical staff are located at the finish line and EMS will be notified in advance. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable; a $25 fee applies to defer registration to the next year (deferral deadline given). Packet pickup is scheduled before race weekend; there is no packet pickup or shuttle service on Sunday. A secure zone after the finish line is for runners only.
