Event overview
The 2026 Ohio Northern Indoor Marathon and Half Marathon will be held on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026, at the ONU Sports Center in Ada, Ohio. The event benefits the ONU cross country and track & field teams. Distances offered:
- Marathon
- Half marathon
Registration is first-come-first-served and closes on December 31, 2025, or when the race is filled. The field is limited to a maximum of 40 runners, though organizers may adjust that limit. The entry fee is $100 and includes a t-shirt and a finisher’s medal. Packet pickup is available the morning of the race, starting at 6:30 a.m.
Course and logistics
The races take place on the indoor 200-meter track inside the ONU field house. The marathon requires 211 laps and the half marathon requires 105.5 laps. The course is USATF certified (OH10061PR). Every 30 minutes runners will change direction; a cone at the start/finish marks the change and runners should move to outside lanes until all have switched. Timing will use a FinishLynx system with lap splits recorded for each runner; timing will end after six hours due to facility limits. There will be two aid stations on the track, one at each end; water and sports drinks will be available and runners may use personal supplies on track tables. Headsets are not allowed, music will play, and spectators may use seating beside the track. Strollers and pets are not permitted on the track.
