About the race
The Old Highway 5k Run/Walk is an annual timed event held on the historic Old Highway in Islamorada, Florida, starting and finishing at Coral Shores High School. This flat, shaded course offers a scenic and enjoyable route for runners and walkers alike. Originally known as the Baptist Health Mariners Hospital "Run for the Nurses," the race now benefits the Baptist Health Mariners Hospital Center for Excellence in Nursing.
Participants receive medals upon completion, and the first 100 registrants get race shirts. Awards are given to top finishers across various age groups.
