Old Jo's Firecracker

Old Jo's Firecracker 5K is a family-friendly running event held annually in Saint Jo, Texas, celebrating its 17th year in 2025. The race takes place on July 4th, starting from the historic Saint Jo Square on Highway 82. This chip-timed, certified 5K course leads participants through the scenic countryside north of town before returning to the square for the finish.

The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages with various age brackets for both males and females. Hosted by the Saint Jo Chamber of Commerce and Easy Street Animal Shelter, the race offers a festive atmosphere and is part of a day filled with activities at Boggess Park, culminating in one of North Texas's best fireworks displays.
