About the race
Orland Park Turkey Trot is a 2.5-mile chip-timed cross-country race in Orland Park, Illinois. The annual Thanksgiving morning event invites runners and walkers to traverse paved roads, paths, and wooded sections near the Village Hall, starting at the Franklin Loebe Center (14650 S Ravinia Ave). It has grown into a holiday mainstay with a family-friendly atmosphere and a focus on tradition.
All participants receive a long-sleeve dri-fit shirt and are entered into a post-race raffle. Prizes include turkeys for the top overall male and female finishers and for top finishers across 14 age groups. The race often sells out in advance.
