ÖTILLÖ Casco Bay USA is a swimrun event scheduled for August 09, 2026, held on the islands off Portland, Maine. Race details and logistics
Three distances are offered:
- Casco Bay Experience - 9,705 m total; swim 1,635 m; run 8,070 m.
- Casco Bay Sprint - 16,930 m total; swim 3,230 m; run 13,700 m.
- Casco Bay World Series - 35,165 m total; swim 7,940 m; run 27,225 m.
Start locations include Chebeague Island (World Series) and Great Diamond Island (Sprint and Experience). The finish and post-race area is at Peaks Island Lion’s Club. Packet pickup is at the Holiday Inn Portland-by the Bay and is mandatory the day before the race; a paid race-morning pickup option may be available. Mandatory race-provided gear includes color-coded swim caps, bibs, and a timing chip; athletes must supply shoes, a wetsuit, a whistle, a compression bandage, and a tether. There are course cut-offs at Long Island, Little Diamond, and Peak Island for safety. Top-three awards are given for World Series and Sprint teams and solos; no awards are given for Experience racers. Post-race food and drink are available near the finish.
