Event overview
Otter Creek is a trail running event in Brandenburg, KY, scheduled for December 20, 2025. The course is a loop on singletrack trail that follows the creek and includes sections of pine needles and rolling hills. Weather in December can vary and may include rain, snow, or sunshine. Fully stocked aid stations are placed approximately every 4-5 miles.

The marathon includes a team category in which any number of runners may join; each team member runs the full marathon and the top three individual times on a team are summed for team scoring. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each race and in the relay. Each year carved wooden medals are given, and long sleeve shirts are provided to all participants. A chili cook-off is part of the event; entrants receive aprons and the cook-off winner receives a prize.
Facilities and local information
Two heated cabins at the start/finish area sleep 14 people each in bunk beds; participants should bring sleeping bags. Pasta will be available on the Friday before the event.
