About the race
Outrun the Stigma 5K Run/Walk takes place at Front Street & Park Blvd in Massapequa Park, NY. The 3.1-mile course starts on a closed road, winds into the Massapequa Preserve, with roughly half the route on dirt/gravel trails and half on paved paths before finishing on the roadway. The event features an after-party with food and music, T-shirts, live/emailed/text results, and free finish-line photos, plus optional personalized bibs for early registrants.
Awards include top overall and age-group prizes, with a category for active NYPD officers. Proceeds support officer mental-health initiatives and families affected by suicide; a Kids Fun Run is also offered. Parking under the LIRR tracks.
