Course and logistics
The event is on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Smiths Grove, KY (42171) with the listed address 226 Sunset St. The race begins and ends at Ed Spear Park. Early packet pick-up for the marathon and half marathon is available Friday, May 8 from 6:00-9:00 pm at Ed Spear Park. If unable to pick up on Friday, participants should arrive to check in and pick up bib and shirt no later than 6:15 am on Saturday.
The route is rural and features the communities of Smiths Grove and Oakland. Over 90% of the route is paved and about 10% is gravel. The course includes moderate hills and several railroad crossings where runners may be stopped. All marathon and half marathon participants will receive a shirt, and finishers will receive a medal that features the two communities. Proceeds will go to Friends of Warren County Parks and Recreation, a 501(c)(3) that provides "scholarship opportunities to ensure that children have the fundamental right of being engaged in sports programs."
