Palisades Punisher or Promenade

The Palisades Punisher or Promenade is an exciting running event taking place at Palisades-Kepler State Park in Mt. Vernon, IA. Participants can choose between an 8-hour Punisher challenge, a 4-hour Mini, or a scenic 4.8-mile Promenade, featuring loops with over 400 feet of elevation gain.

The course offers breathtaking views of the Cedar River and surrounding bluffs, with a single aid station providing refreshments. Proceeds from the event will benefit the park, and custom awards will be given for the most loops completed. Volunteers are welcomed, and photography will be available post-race.
