Pat Magovern Shillelagh 5K

The Pat Magovern Shillelagh 5K, One-Mile Walk & Kids’ Races take place in Lake Como, New Jersey, starting from Bar Anticipation. The 5K course winds through the Jersey Shore towns of Belmar, Lake Como, and Spring Lake. In addition to the 5K, there are a Shillelagh One-Mile Walk for 12 and older, a separate One-Mile Walk for younger participants, and a kids’ race.

A post-race barbecue at Bar Anticipation follows the events. Official timing is provided by Elite Racing Systems. Proceeds benefit Circle of Friends and the Shillelagh Foundation, with awards across multiple age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
