Peavine Peak Hill Climb

Website Registration

Peavine Peak Hill Climb is Reno, Nevada’s second annual uphill running race to the top of Peavine Peak and back. The 9.4-mile course gains about 3,018 feet, starting at Melton Elementary School. Runners traverse a half mile on access roads and neighborhood trails to Chalk Canyon, then ascend 2 miles on singletrack to the Peavine Road intersection for the first aid station.

From there, a very steep ascent climbs a rocky ATV trail up Tower Ridge to the summit. The 2.4-mile dirt-road descent returns to Chalk Canyon before retracing to the start. It features mixed terrain and striking canyon scenery along a challenging climb. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
