Event details
Perennial is a time-based endurance running event held Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, NC. Participants choose a timed category and complete as many laps as possible on a lap-based course. Categories available:
- 3 Hour
- 6 Hour
- 10 Hour
The event is limited to the first 150 registrants (50 per time category). Runners are ranked first by total laps completed and then by time. Prize levels increase with laps; example thresholds noted include roughly half-marathon, marathon, ~40 miles, and ~50 miles for 4, 8, 12, and 16 laps respectively. The event lists Daniel Stowe Conservancy as the event beneficiary.
Course, logistics and support
The course is a roughly 5K-ish loop that is about 95% trails and crushed gravel and starts/finishes at Race HQ, where an aid station is located. Race HQ is separate from the main parking area; participants must use the main Daniel Stowe Garden parking lot. Bathrooms are nearby (about 200 ft away).
Participants are expected to be self-sufficient for their main nutrition and gear. The event is cup free and safety-pin free. Race HQ will provide water, Tailwind, soda, basic snacks (pretzels, chips, candy, PB&Js) and spacing for crew and supporters. The event includes apparel and gear recycling initiatives and directs additional registration donations to Daniel Stowe Conservancy. Sponsors and partner brands are listed for giveaways and support.
