2025 Piedmont Turkey Trot : event overview
The Piedmont Turkey Trot is held on Thanksgiving morning in Piedmont, California. The main event is a 5K run/walk that starts at the Piedmont Exedra at Highland and Magnolia Avenues. The event is organized as a nonprofit and its net proceeds benefit local school athletics, including the PHS Cross Country and Track and Field teams and the PHS Athletic Boosters. A separate free youth event, the Tiny Trot, is scheduled for ages 3-6 at Witter Field on November 26 and consists of one lap around the track.

Safety and participation rules are stated: bikes, in-line skates, trikes, scooters, wagons and skateboards are not permitted. The use of headphones or earbuds is strongly discouraged so entrants can hear directions from announcers, police, and volunteers. Unregistered walkers or runners are not permitted on the course. Strollers, baby joggers and dogs on short leashes are allowed but must start at the back of the start area; retractable leashes are not permitted. Awards are given to the top three finishers in male and female age groups and in non-binary categories. Bib pickup takes place the day before the race at Veterans Hall, 401 Highland Avenue, Piedmont.
