The Pioneer Crossings Relay Race is a challenging 180-mile relay event held in Montana, running from Twin Bridges to Virginia City. The race features 36 legs with a total elevation gain of 14,000 feet, showcasing Montana’s stunning mountains, big sky vistas, and pristine forests. Teams typically consist of 12 runners divided into two vans, each runner completing three legs in a classic relay format over 24 to 32 hours.
