Event details
The Pipestem Pumpkin Run takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 3405 Pipestem Drive, Pipestem, WV 25979. The course is described as scenic and is located about 25 miles north of Princeton, WV on Route 20. The event includes the following race distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- 5K Walk
- Kids Run (free)
Early entry fees are listed at $20; race day entry is $30. Southwest Virginia Road Runners Club members have reduced fees: $15 early and $20 race day. Registration closes October 24, 2025.
Awards and extras
Awards are given for the top three male and female finishers and for age-group top three places in the 5K and 10K. Age groups listed include 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. The 5K Walk has awards for the top five overall. T-shirts are guaranteed to the first 80 registered; no T-shirts are provided for the Kids Run or Fun Run. A costume contest is held shortly after the race start with prizes for first through third place, including a one-night stay at Pipestem's McKeever Lodge (as available).
