Pleasant Mountain Race
The Pleasant Mountain Race, held in Bridgton, Maine, is a challenging 21k trail run featuring significant elevation gains and technical single-track terrain. Participants tackle steep climbs, including 1,700 feet over 2 miles up Bald Peak and another 1,900 feet over 2.5 miles on the Southwest Ridge Trail, before traversing Pleasant Mountain’s northern ridge and descending via the technical Sue’s Way trail. The race starts and finishes at the Pleasant Mountain East Lodge, offering scenic views of fall foliage.
Runners receive a tech t-shirt, meal ticket, beer (21+), and a finisher medal. An aid station provides snacks and hydration, and mandatory gear ensures safety in variable mountain weather. The event concludes with an après party featuring food, beer, and live music.
