About the race
Poker Run 5K is a timed Texas Hold’em–style 5K held at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in North Port, Florida. The out-and-back course covers about 3.1 miles, beginning at the park and finishing there after a poker stop where runners pick up two cards. Participants don’t need poker experience; they simply collect two cards mid-race and hand them in at check-in.
Prizes go to the best and worst hands, with a speed-based tiebreaker. Awards honor top finishers across age groups, and medals are awarded accordingly. Water, hot dogs, snacks, and beverages are provided.
