Polish Independence Run
The Polish Independence Run is an annual 10K and 5K run/walk event held at Montrose Harbor in Chicago, celebrating Poland’s independence regained on November 11, 1918. Organized since 2018 by WPNA 103.1 FM, the race features a USATF-certified, chip-timed course along the scenic Lake Michigan shoreline. Participants of all ages can choose between a 10-kilometer run or a 5-kilometer run/walk.
Each runner receives a bib, a custom finisher’s medal, and an event T-shirt. The event fosters a festive atmosphere honoring Polish heritage and freedom, welcoming both competitive runners and community members to join in the celebration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
