Polka Pace Race

Polka Pace Race takes place in Havana, Illinois, during Oktoberfest. The event features a USA Track & Field certified 5K course that winds through Havana’s streets, including a scenic Riverfront Park and historic brick sections, starting and finishing on Main Street. A separate 1-mile Polka Dot Fun Run is offered for children 10 and under.

The race is the 42nd annual edition and is part of a family-friendly festival with breakfast nearby and other Oktoberfest activities. The 5K entry includes race bag, long-sleeve shirt, and a beer ticket for those 21+. Walkers and strollers are welcome; awards include cash prizes for top overall finishers and medals for the fun run.
