Pony Express Half Marathon

The Pony Express Half Marathon & 5K takes place annually in historic downtown Marysville, Kansas, with the 7th edition scheduled for September 6, 2025. The event features a scenic course that runs through Marysville’s paved and brick streets and along the Blue River Rail Trail, a picturesque path on a retired railroad bed beside the Big Blue River. Runners enjoy views of limestone outcrops, bluffs, and farmland, with aid stations along the route.

The half marathon and 5K are timed races, offering race t-shirts and finisher medals for half marathoners. A virtual race option is also available. The event coincides with the Pony Express 120 Gravel Dash bike race and includes festivities in downtown Marysville.
