Port Oneida Run
The Port Oneida Run, held annually at the Port Oneida Heritage Center in Maple City, Michigan, offers runners a unique experience through the scenic Port Oneida Rural Historic District within Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. The event features three race distances: a flat and fast 5K on crushed gravel and dirt roads, a 10K combining trails, gravel, and paved back roads with rolling hills, and a half marathon traversing dirt, grass trails, gravel, and pavement. Participants enjoy historic farms, barns from the 1800s, and picturesque views near Lake Michigan.
The run supports Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear and includes post-race festivities, awards, and family-friendly activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
