Pretzel City 5k

The Pretzel City 5k is a welcoming running event held in Freeport, Illinois, at scenic Krape Park. Suitable for both novice runners and seasoned competitors, the race features a flat, certified 5k course that winds through picturesque park settings including Yellow Creek, a waterfall, twin caves, and two scenic bridges. The route starts near the mini golf and baseball field parking lot and offers a tree-lined path with refreshing natural views.

Part of the Rockford Road Runners circuit, the event provides all pre-registered participants with a T-shirt, and post-race refreshments and awards are served at the Gunkle Shelter.
