Event overview
Project 13.1 is a half marathon scheduled for March 21, 2026 at Rockland Lake State Park in Congers, New York. The race distance is 13.1 miles. Registration opened on October 1, 2025 and the field is limited to the first 500 entries. The start and finish are located near Parking Lot #5.
Course, format and amenities
The course is USATF/IAAF certified. Runners go out for roughly 3/4 mile, make a 180-degree turn, pass the start line, and then complete four clockwise loops around the lake. Tangents will be marked to help runners follow the shortest path. The race is organized in two waves of about 250 runners each; each wave will include 5 to 10 pacers and bike escorts. The event is oriented toward runners targeting a sub-90-minute half marathon, with pacers available for that pace range. All registered participants receive a 2026 Project 13.1 hat and a catered breakfast with muffins, fruit, eggs, and waffles. A hotel partnership offers a discounted room rate at the Hampton Inn Nanuet for the night before the race; participants remain responsible for their own transportation.
