About the race
Quarry Shack 5 Miler is a nighttime, 5-mile trail race held in Vintondale, Pennsylvania, on the Ghosttown Trail's Rexis Branch. It offers a Run and a Walk on a closed, out-and-back rail-trail course with no road crossings. The route is essentially flat with about 115 feet of outbound gain and a downhill return.
Runners must bring personal lighting for the dark course. The event blends sport with Halloween spirit, featuring decorations, photo opportunities, and costumes.
