About the race
Race for Renewal is a 5K walk/run held in Monroe, Louisiana, at Forsythe Park (2300 Sycamore Street). In its second year, the community event raises funds for The Renewal Center, a day shelter and resource hub for homeless residents. The race supports meals, laundry services, Bible studies, education, and services enabling HiSet diploma attainment through a partnership with Louisiana Delta Community College, along with case management and vital documents assistance.
Organizers envision expanding the campus to include a dining hall, shelters, and transitional housing. Online registration includes a race-day t‑shirt; on-site registration is available.
